This room takes a deliberately different path than the original inspiration...the source design is beautiful, but we felt a quieter interpretation suited the space better. Rust leads here instead of navy, and a simple, tonal rug replaces the original's bolder floral pattern, creating a calmer foundation to build on.

The pillow and watercolor art both do double duty, bridging the room's two main colors in a single piece. The result is a room that feels warm first, sophisticated second, where every element has room to breathe instead of competing for attention.

THE NEVER GUIDE

Never let two competing colors carry equal visual weight in one room. Rust and navy both fighting for dominance reads chaotic...let one lead and the other support.

Never use cool-toned metals when rust is your lead color. Chrome or polished nickel fights the room's warmth...stick to warm brass or matte gold throughout.
